KAUFMAN
Theresa Kaufman’s 36-year career encompasses a distinctive mix of special events, fundraising and public relations. Having worked in non-profit and media Theresa brings valuable insight for clients creating new events and assessing old ones. Throughout her career, Theresa has been creative thinker and self-starter, developing a solid expertise in planning and executing special events. She has held a variety of managerial positions, and her career experience includes working for area media – Hearst Broadcasting and Pittsburgh Magazine; non-profit organizations – Pittsburgh Opera, Laughlin Center and the Mel Blount Youth Home; and private event consulting. In 2006, she formed her company, Theresa Kaufman Events, with an eye to assisting companies, non-profits and private persons with events, sponsorship coordination and public relations services. A member of Meeting Planners International, Theresa is a past president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the International Live Events Society.
